CHRISTMAS RAFFLE &
OPEN COMPETITION

German Christmas Market Theme, subjects as below:

- Spinning Top.
- Table Decoration:
An object for a centre display, for example, a tea-light or candle powered carousel as described in the November and December 2017 Woodturning Magazine.
- Christmas Tree Decoration:
A broad title which includes tree decoration items, baubles and the like either solid or hollow form. Perhaps a Christmas tree to hang an array of baubles on. Perhaps, with miniature electronics available these days, could be illuminated with LED, for example.
- Christmas Figures:
Figures such as robins, small Christmas trees, snowmen, Santa Clauses, a Christmas scene not entered as a table decoration. And so forth.

NOTES:

The purpose of the Hands On Workshops are for our more experienced members to assist and guide our less capable members and try different techniques.

The purpose of the One to One Workshops are specifically for a member to undergo one to one training with an experienced member in that to that particular members choice.

All members to contact a Committee Member or the Evening Manager to pair you up with a more experienced member, members requiring assistance to bring tools and timber.

Volunteers are required to assist the Committee for these workshops

Competitions:

A competition with a set theme unless otherwise stated.

Those judging the competitions will not be allowed to submit an entry and at least 2 weeks notification will be given to those judging.
A Committee Member + a HWC member will be invited to judge.

The Christmas Competition will be judged by the HWC Membership.

All members are actively encouraged to enter the Competitions and Show-times, please remember the Club is for your enjoyment.

Directions to Munlochy Hall:

From Inverness follow the A9 north over the Kessock Bridge.
Travel approx 4.6km, then turn right crossing over the A9 onto the B9161 and follow this road into Munlochy village.
Drive through the village passing shops and car park on the RHS.
Just before the slight left hand bend the village hall is on the RHS.
Please note that there is limited parking at the hall.
Alternative parking possibly available 100yds down the road.
It would ease parking problems if members could join up to travel to the meetings.
