Our meeting this week on Thursday 23rd December 2021 is our annual Christmas Raffle draw, there will be no turning at this meeting, it will be just the raffle draw, prior to the draw I will be making a short summary of what has happened over the last few months and also outlining what’s likely to happen over the next few months, all of which will be subject to change as we are still in the middle of the pandemic and the government may change things with little or no warning, so to keep up to date with what’s happening do regular checks on this page or our facebook page, if we get any more information from the government it will be posted on both platforms and Geoff may send everyone an email of any changes.
The meeting will start at the usual time of 6.45pm, with the draw starting at about 7.00pm. There are lots of prizes, the draw is expected to last about an hour, you will need to wear a facemask as usual if not drinking or eating and we would ask that you do a Lateral Flow test prior to the meeting, you will also need to have had all 3 jabs, all will be seated during the draw, any number drawn that does not have it’s owner present or known will be placed with it’s prize for collection by it’s owner on proof of them having the ticket.
There may be some apprehension about coming to this weeks meeting in light of the present situation with the virus, this we understand, however if we all follow good practice by washing hands regularly, using the facilities available and wearing face masks, having been vaccinated, (all 3), taking a Lateral Flow Test prior to the meeting, we should mitigate the risks. The ventilation system will be in use at the clubhouse and we may leave the door open so wear something that’s going to keep you warm.
Our first meeting in 2022 is on the 6th January, it’s scheduled to be a demonstration by Douglas Stewart, and Douglas will be demonstrating how to make some wooden jewellery, provided no further restrictions are placed upon us this meeting will be taking place.
Your subscription fees for 2022 should now be paid to Cliff our treasurer.
Good luck with the draw, your committee would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and a good and prosperous New Year.
