Our next meeting 06-01-2022 a demonstration by Douglas Stewart.

Start time of 6.45pm.

Our meeting this week on the 6th January 2022 is a demonstration by Douglas Stewart on making wooden jewellery, Douglas has demonstrated some examples of this type of woodturning before and it’s always interesting to see what he come up with.

I have given you some pictures with examples of some wooden jewellery that were made by Douglas and others from the club on previous occasions.

The meeting will be an all seated affair, face masks to be worn at all times, the turner being the only exception, you will need to sign in use the sanitizer and if possible take a lateral flow test before the meeting. Anyone showing any signs of a cold or flue like symptoms needs to stay away.

Here are a few broaches made by one of our members, showing the method of fixing at the back of the broaches.
Here we have 2 sets of ear rings, one set made from acrylic, the other wooden and embellished, the pendant made from wood and very finely cut.
