Start Time 6.45pm.
Our next meeting is the last meeting for 2024, and will be held on Thursday evening 12th December 2024. It’s our annual Competition for the MacGregor shield, a stand alone competition where everyone can enter as many pieces as they wish, the rules of the competition have already been distributed to all the members by email, here is a short version of these rules,
We are looking for a very good turnout and lots of entries to the competition, here are a few pictures of last years entries.
We are hoping for an even bigger total of entries and certainly not less. Below are the winning entries in all 3 categories.
At the same time as the results of the judging is taking place, the Grand Raffle Draw will also take place, normally about 100 prizes on offer, we hope to have a similar number again this year. It’s not too late to put forward a donation for the draw, just bring whatever you wish to donate and place it on the prizes tables, whatever you bring will be appreciated. Her e are a few pictures of last years prizes.
Lets have an even bigger amount of prizes.
Finally with the judging over the winners in all 3 categories will be announced by our Competitions organizer Nick Simpson, and the winner of the MacGregor shield will go to the entry that receives the largest total of votes from any of the 3 categories.
The results of the yearly competitions of which there were 4, will also be announced and each of the 3 categories winners will receive the engraved Shields for the 2024 competitions.
There will be tea/coffee available for a 50p donation but only the Christmas Raffles will be on sale up to the point of the Grand Christmas Draw taking place.
I hope you have found the meeting throughout 2024 be of interest to you all, we are always open to suggestions on how and what we promote at any of our meetings, you are more than welcome to put forward any ideas or suggestions on what you would like to see or do at the club.
